Every ceremony I conduct gives something back- But how?

Five percent of every booking fee I receive is donated to Alzheimer’s Society through Work for Good — a platform that makes charitable giving a seamless part of doing business. It’s a small percentage. But across a year, it adds up to something meaningful.

I chose Alzheimer’s Society deliberately. Dementia has touched my family and people I love deeply. And there is a phrase that has stayed with me, that I find almost unbearably poignant —

When someone has dementia, they die more than once.

First, gradually, in pieces. And then finally.

Alzheimer’s Society funds world-class research, provides lifeline support to people and families living with dementia, and campaigns to make it a government and public priority. They are developing life-changing technology for people in the early stages — companion calls, blood tests, biomarkers that could one day transform early diagnosis.

They are working towards a world without dementia. I want to be part of that. In whatever small way I can.

So when you book a ceremony with me — a wedding, a funeral, a naming day, a vow renewal — a portion of that fee goes directly to this cause. You don’t need to do anything. It happens automatically through Work for Good.

Celebrating life’s most important moments, while supporting those for whom precious moments are being taken away.

It feels like the right thing to do.
